How It Works

Delay time in milliseconds is calculated from BPM (Beats Per Minute) using this formula:

Delay (ms) = 60,000 ÷ BPM × Note Value

Common note values: 1/4 = quarter note, 1/8 = eighth note, 1/16 = sixteenth note, 1/8T = eighth-note triplet, 1/4D = dotted quarter.

For reverb pre-delay, use the 1/32 or 1/64 values. For classic tape delay sounds, try dotted eighth notes — the "Edge" guitar sound. For slapback echo, use 80–120ms. For Haas-effect stereo widening, try 10–35ms.
